So check out the pink goo of Adriana's Mom, if babies don't scare the living bejeezus out of you.
For those of you who aren't going to be watching the "American Idol" show tonight, WYSIWYG alum Carolyn Castiglia has an event you may want to check out:

Also tonight is How To Kick People, previously detailed here.
Check out this interview of WYSIWYG fave/blogger/Gay Haiku auuuthah Joel Derfner at Gothamist (conducted by another 'WYG alum, Rachel Kramer Bussel)! Joel's whoring that book like there's no tomorrow, and you can catch a few excerpts and much more at the June WYSIWYG.
On a related note, I opened up the latest issue of The Advocate yesterday to find Gay Haiku on their list of the 20 best summer reads of 2005. Nifty!
A few tidbits on the activities of some of our past performers...

And from Todd Levin and Bob Powers:
Next Wednesday is the next How To Kick People show, Four-Eyes. This one's called H2KP: 2049 AD, and it's about the future and time travel and all that crap you and your Four-Eyed friends are always going on about. This is probably gonna be the show that makes you so DORKCITED you freak out and wake up in Dorktown (near Pittsburgh). They're already gonna be doing that brainiac "Look At Me I Know How To Read" crap that they always do. 'Cept now they're gonna be reading about time machines and going into the future to meet your own grandchildren when you're the same age as them so they can fall in love with you. Pervs.
Here are the details if you wanna get all DORKTASTIC.

Hey kids! Don't forget tonight's WYSIWYG, "Arrested Development: I Fought the Law and the Law Won," at 7:30! In addition to the fabulous talents of soce the elemental wizard, Andrew J. Lederer, Laren Spirer, PJ Gallagher, and Martha Burzynski, there will be a special Blog Party announcement and, as always, door prizes!
Among the goodies we'll be giving away will be an autographed copy of the new book by Joel Derfner (The Artist Formerly Known as Dr. Faustus): Gay Haiku!
Joel performed at our very first show, has blessed our stage a couple of times since then, and will be joining us again next month for our June 22 installment, "I Love a Parade! More Tales of Extremely Gay Gayness!" -- the full lineup for which we'll be announcing tonight.
Congratulations, Joel! WYSIWYG wuvs you!
Addendum: Also check out Gay.com's Gay Haiku slideshow!
It started off with a simple blog post, but now WYSIWYG's very own producer Andy has launched his candicacy for mayor of New York, running on the Blog Party ticket!
He's got some excellent ideas:
Rather than merely using New Media in the service of old political structures it is time to re-frame the political debate and find new ways to identify with the culture at large - beyond Democrat, Republican, Independent, Liberal, Conservative, Green and simplistic party affiliations.
These outmoded party affiliations do not adequately address the needs of the urban "Creative Class" - a new demographic that is essential to the growth and productivity of American cities.The Blog Party exists to serve those people and be defined by them, through an ongoing internet-based dialogue. Socially progressive, pro-business but anti-corporate, pro-family but anti "conservative family values", we are a diverse and dynamic group of people who deserve to be heard.
Much more interesting stuff over at the Blog Party site. Needless to say, the WYSIWYG Talent Show wholeheartedly endorses Candidate Horwitz!
Now who do I have to blow around here to get a cabinet position?
* soce the elemental wizard
* Andrew J. Lederer
* Laren Spirer
* PJ Gallagher
* Martha Burzynski
