Juke Box Heroes
While half of New York had already taken off for turkey, stuffing, and forced family fun, a small but boisterous crowd showed up for last night's WYSIWYG. We had a blast.
Luxurious prizes were to be had, and two lucky audience members left with fabulous packages of Jimi Hendrix incense, sample sizes of Britney Spears's perfume "Curious," and a guitar (one a Christmas ornament, and the other a little plastic electronic LOUD toy). Nothing but the best for our audience!
So far here's the online roundup:
* Dan's story about his days following Chucklehead (complete with period photos of the band and Dan's marvelous early-90's hair) is here.
* Giulia and Margot's story about meeting Poison is here.
* Josh's thoughts about the evening are here.
As always, if more blog posts crop up on performers' or audience members' websites, I'll be posting 'em here, so check back for more linky goodness.
The usual abundance of bloggers wasn't to be seen in the audience, but I did spot 'WYG alum Julia Langbein and some of her Wiener Philharmonic cohorts, and Melanie from NYC Creative was there filming some B-roll for an upcoming piece she's planning all about the magic and wonder that is WYSIWYG. Thanks to all of you who came out on a crappy, cold, wet night two days before Thanksgiving, and we hope to see ALL y'all at next month's "Sumthin' Jewy This Way Comes"!
