June 22, 2006: Nobody does it gayer

Our third annual Pride extravaganza was Tuesday night, and a gay old time was had by all! Somewhere around a hundred people packed into Bowery Poetry Club to get their gay on, have some cocktails, and hear a bunch of funny mo's telling stories. As always, we had prized (an NYC firefighters calendar! a candy bra!) and assloads of fun. Next year, we think we're just gonna call this one "Gay Gay Gay Gay Gay Gay GAY!"

Here's what some of the performers have had to say about Tuesday night:
* Curly's story and rundown are here
* Rod's story is here
* Joe's rundown is here, and his story is now here
* Greg's rundown is here

And here's what some of the folks who attended thought about the whole affair:
* Jon W. Collins
* The Publishing Spot
* The Sheila Variations
* Someone in a Tree
* From the Ashes
* The Cliff Claven Blog (apparently you have to have a LiveJournal login to access the permalink to the individual post, but it's readable from the main site, dated June 21)

As always, I'll add more links if I find 'em. Before the show, by the way, we got really nice mentions on My Open Bra and Worth Repeating.

Please don't forget -- if you took photos and are on Flickr, please post 'em to our Flickr group!

June 01, 2006: Um, does anyone here speak Dutch?

Last month's "Prom Trauma" WYSIWYG was covered by Freek Staps, a reporter for NRC Handelsblad, a newspaper from the Netherlands. The story has now been published!

Freek's blog post about WYSIWYG is here and a PDF of the article can be found here.

It seems cool, as far as I can tell (although GEEZ that may be the most unflattering pic ever taken of me), but I have NO idea what any of it says.
