Julian Sanchez

Julian Sanchez is the assistant editor of the libertarian politics and culture magazine Reason. He writes for both the magazine's blog, Hit and Run and his own, Notes from the Lounge (at juliansanchez.com). During the run-up to the war in Iraq, Julian launched an anti-war group weblog called Stand Down with progressive economist Max Sawicky and a broad range of bloggers from the left and the right. Before joining Reason, Julian was a staff writer for the Cato Institute, a pro-market think tank. He studied philosophy and political science at New York University (where, incidentally, he once took a class with co-panelist Doug Rushkoff) and is currently based in Washington, D.C.
